Welcome to the Brenda Blakemore Community Centre
Nestled in the heart of Rainham, our community hall is a vibrant space used by local groups, families, and organisations across Havering. With a spacious main hall, full kitchen, stunning gardens and plenty of parking, it’s the perfect venue for everything from birthday parties to regular classes.

The hall is spacious enough for around 100 people, and the kitchen is great for caterers. But honestly, the best part is the massive garden—it’s perfect for cocktail hour, outdoor games, or just enjoying the sunshine. It is especially beautiful during spring/summer time when all the flowers are in bloom.
A massive thank you to Julie and the team for making the whole process so smooth and for their quick responses. We had an amazing time here and would definitely come back for future events!
Plenty of chairs and tables, a kitchen, well maintained toilets, a beautiful garden, plenty of car parking space in the car park, very airey, spacious, huge windows, a huge mirrored wall n a sound system. The children played in the garden, and the men admired the beautiful scenario, while the ladies played musical chairs. It is a great easy access location, perfect for a family function.

Space That Works
The Brenda Blakemore Community Centre has been an incredible space for our martial arts classes. It’s flexible, clean, and perfect for families of all ages. The location is easy to reach, and the welcoming atmosphere makes every session feel special. The mirrored wall helps students see their technique and improve quickly, while the spacious layout gives us plenty of room to move, jump and train safely. It’s genuinely one of the best community venues we’ve used for martial arts.

Tang Sou Dao Rainham
Taught by 2nd Duan instructor Kelly Wise, this traditional Chinese martial arts class welcomes all ages!
JSD Dance & Musical Theatre
A fun and expressive space for children to explore dance, movement, and performance. Classes run weekly at the hall — perfect for budding stars of all ages.
Chandlers Chatters Nursery
A warm, welcoming nursery setting offering early years learning through play. Friendly staff, happy children, and a safe space to grow — right here at the hall.
